Who decides what is “negative/hate” tweets? – Twitter users question Elon Musk

Some Twitter users on Saturday dragged Elon Musk, the new Twitter owner on the need to explain to them, who will decide what a negative or hate tweet is, as the social media giant plans to introduce new policy.

Elon Musk in a recent tweet said the “new Twitter policy is freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach.

“Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted & demonetized, so no ads or other revenue to Twitter.

“You won’t find the tweet unless you specifically seek it out, which is no different from rest of Internet.”

He said the new policy will apply to the individual tweet, not the whole account.

In a reaction, Lauren Chen said: “Who decides what is a “hate” tweet?”

Tim Young said: “Who decides what a negative or hate tweet is?”

Similarly, Angelo Isidorou said: “Who decides what is “negative/hate” tweets?

Jason Howerton said: “Who decides what “hate” tweets are?”
