FCMB warns customers to beware of fraudsters sending messages on FGN, CBN survival funds

Leading financial institution, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has warned customers to beware of fraudsters sending out text messages on FGN and CBN survival funds in the name of the bank.

The bank gave the warning in a statement sent to its customers on Thursday.

“Our attention has been drawn to text messages being sent to people asking them to call a certain phone number for FGN and CBN survival funds.

“This is an attempt by fraudsters to rid you of your hard-earned money. We are not involved in any such initiative.

“Remember, FCMB will never call, text or send you an email requesting sensitive banking details such as PINs, OTPs, Passwords,16 digit numbers on your Debit/Credit Card, 3 digit number behind your Debit/Credit Card, etc.

“All information about our promos, special offers giveaways will always be shown on our social media channels and website ( www.fcmb.com )

“If you notice any suspicious activities on your account, please call FCMB customer service immediately on 07003290000 or send an email to frauddesk@fcmb.com,” FCMB warned.
