Access Bank Unveils Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton Season 6

Leading financial institution, Access Bank Plc has launched the sixth season of its Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton program, opening applications to reward 120 female entrepreneurs with business grants and an IFC-certified mini-MBA worth over N100 million.
The application window runs from June 24 to August 9, 2024. The three-month program includes an eight-week mini-MBA training in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Participants will showcase their businesses to a Pan-African jury, presenting ideas enhanced by their mini-MBA training for a chance to win financial grants and other prizes.
At the launch event in Lagos, Abiodun Olubitan, Group Head of Women Banking at Access Bank, stated, “Our survey revealed that a knowledge gap causes many female-owned startups to fail within the first five years. The Womenpreneur Program addresses this by offering essential resources to help women thrive.”
Olubitan highlighted the program’s role as one of Africa’s largest business growth platforms for women, providing quality training and grants. She emphasized the program’s impact over the past five years, noting that it has supported 645 mini-MBA winners across Nigeria and 10 other African countries, with 65 winners receiving over $175,000 in grants and 40 consolation prizes.
“The program has significantly expanded participants’ market reach, enabling some to launch internationally. They’ve gained skills in business marketing, management, and digital strategies, driving notable business growth,” she added.
The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton program is open to female entrepreneurs who have run their businesses for at least one year, hold at least 50% ownership, and are aged 18 to 55. Interested candidates can apply at www.womenpreneur.ng.
